BSF celebrates exceptional A level and BTEC student results

Beal Sixth Form is pleased to report exceptional achievements by its students in their A levels and Vocational qualifications this summer:

– 100% have secured progression routes, with the majority (80%) taking up their preferred university destinations
– 25% of students have secured places at top Russell Group universities
– Four students have taken up their places at Oxford and Cambridge and three at Medical School, one via clearing which is incredible.
– 27 students have achieved straight A/A* and 26 students straight Distinction/Distinction*s

Student Case studies
Imaan Khaliq (in picture) studied at the BHS campus and achieved four A* in Maths, Further Maths, Biology and Chemistry and is going to study Medicine at Oxford University.

“I am pleased and over the moon with my results. The sixth form experience at Beal was great. Thank you to all the teachers and staff who helped me and others to do well. Also thanks to my family and friends for all their support. Looking forward to going to university and wishing everyone the best.”

Also heading to Oxford and Cambridge are Perth Maharjan (History of Art – Oxford), Robert Arsene and Vanessa Ilori (both Psychology – Cambridge).

Matthew Ingle (above), studying at the TFA campus, achieved straight A grades in Maths, Biology and Economics and is exploring his options before deciding which Russell Group university to study at. He says, “Work hard and all will fall into place. I have really enjoyed my time at the TFA campus and have achieved grades that I am delighted with.”

Ore Onile-Ere (below) – also studying at the TFA campus – achieved three top grades in Law, Sociology and English Literature and is studying Law at Kings College London. She says “I have always been inspired to study Law at a Russell Group university. Studying here at the TFA campus has allowed me the opportunity to live this aspiration; I am thrilled!”

Manuela Dauti (below, left) achieved A*A*A* and an A in Economics, English Literature, History and Politics and will be going to Warwick to study PPE.

Salaan Ahmed (below, right) overcame significant illness during his exams to achieve very well against all odds, with A*AB in Maths, Chemistry and History and hoping to study Medicine after a gap year.

Mahdi Hasan (below, left) didn’t initially qualify for A levels so enrolled for the Three Year Pathway back in 2020 at the TFA campus. Today he achieved three distinction*s in the BTEC Business National Diploma and BTEC Extended Certificate in Information Technology and is going to study Business at Queen Mary University. He says he is “absolutely delighted with my results. All the hard work, dedication and commitment has finally paid off after three long years. Never give up on your dreams even when things look impossible!”

Zaeem Gandhi (below, right) sat Music A level a year early in year 12 and achieved an A*. A very gifted pianist, his final composition featured his own take on a Mozart masterpiece.

Ed MacLeod, Vice Principal of Beal High School, said: “We are immensely proud of all the work and achievements of our students across both sites of Beal Sixth Form. Our staff have worked tirelessly to ensure students are all able to progress onto further education and study, and we look forward to seeing what they will achieve in the future.”
