Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award – class of 2025

18 Year 13 Beal students successfully received their bronze Duke of Edinburgh certificates and badges this half term after completing the three activities

18 Year 13 Beal students successfully received their bronze Duke of Edinburgh certificates and badges this half term after completing the three activities of volunteering, developing a skill, and undertaking a physical activity during Year 12. Students participated in all activities for at least three months and participated in one of the three activities for a period of at least six months. In addition to the three activities, the students undertook two expeditions over the course of the summer term.

The success of the students this academic year builds on the success of the Duke of Edinburgh over the previous two years with the 90% pass rate this year being a credit to all pupils involved. The feedback from the students has been fantastic and the class of 2026 will shortly be underway with their Duke of Edinburgh awards. The school is also hoping to extend the Duke of Edinburgh silver award for the current academic year.

Thank you to Ms. Klein for her extensive camping knowledge; Ms. Elliott for her calm words of wisdom; Ms Mascia for ensuring that students uploaded the appropriate information to their respective DofE sites; and a massive thanks to Ms. Ibrahim from TFA as DofE Leader for all her hard work and organisational skills throughout the whole award.
