Will Thompson
Principal – The Forest Academy

As the Principal of the Forest Academy since May 2010, it is an honour to serve our local community in ensuring all of our young people thrive at school.  We are on a journey of rapid improvement as part of the BMAT Trust, and I am very fortunate to have such talented staff and students working with me; every person in the school is a key part of our community, starting with the youngest in Year 7, as they begin their seven year journey in school, right through to year 13, where they will embark on their journey into the world as young, confident adults. Our school supports, encourages and challenges every individual to be the very best that they can be and we are rightly ambitious for their aspirations and achievements. We want all to have the personal qualities, skills, experience and qualifications to be a success in the next stage of their life. Our fundamental belief is that each student only gets one chance of secondary education and we must make it the very best it can be. The school is a uniquely welcoming environment, of which all are proud.

Lise Thompson
Principal – BBIH

From the start of this term, I will be the new Principal of Beacon Business Innovation Hub and am looking forward to taking the School to the next successful steps in its development.

I have for the last 30 years worked in Redbridge, in schools presenting challenging circumstances. I have worked at The Forest Academy and have contributed to its journey from a school in special measures to a good school.

This has allowed me to develop a range of skills and gain a deeper understanding of how schools operate within the wider context of education. My aim has always been to nurture and facilitate learning and guide children to become the best they can be.

I strive to ensure that students are successful whichever pathway they choose, and that the provision on offer equips them for progression and life. Beacon Business Innovation Hub needs to be synonymous with Creating excellence and a supportive ethos for all.

Phil Bray

NELTA is also an accredited teacher training provider of School Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) in its own right. I co-ordinate the professional development training programmes, lead the provision of subject networks and support school to school support activities.
